From Our Website

Beeley Hawley are a well established firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers based in Nottinghamshire. We have been serving clients for over forty years and have grown by word of mouth through earning trust. We are a long standing, stable firm that combines a strong tradition of quality with a modern outlook and techniques based on considerable expertise, energy and experience. We have consistently gone the extra mile and are as comfortable discussing trust and estate issues as we are assisting young entrepreneurs with the financial aspects of their business.

Beeley Hawley has a strong team with a valuable range of skills and experience, supported by an administration team which enables us to provide a high level of day to day support and assistance. Ray qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989, with Stoy Hayward (now Tenon). He has over 25 years experience working in both national and local practice, and provides day to day support to several clients in a role liaising closely with the Board of Directors and senior management. He is also Beeley Hawley's audit partner, controlling our audit department and covering both formal statutory audits and government grant audits.

Tax investigations are on the increase as HMRC looks to tax to reduce the Government budget deficit. Tax investigations can be disruptive, intrusive and expensive, often lasting for many months and sometimes years. Anyone who completes a tax return can be selected at random for a tax investigation. Win or lose you will always have to pay the cost of fighting the tax man. To protect our clients we offer a Tax Investigation Service to protect you from the costs of a HMRC tax investigation. This service is backed by an insurance policy the practice has taken out via Abbey Tax Protection.

It is clear that the only way to achieve this is through careful and considered planning to reduce your taxation liabilities, structuring your business correctly and making the most of your personal tax allowances. Our team work closely together to discuss relevant matters with a view to bringing the whole firm's experience to bear to help with individual tax and corporate tax planning to ensure our clients pay less tax and run their businesses tax efficiently. Our Tax Investigations Service provides cover for our fees in defending you and your business from full HMRC tax investigations, individual, corporate, VAT and PAYE.

We will help you to meet your tax compliance obligations. The timely preparation and submission of returns is essential for you to be aware of your liabilities and avoid the penalties which have recently been increased for late submissions. By promptly providing us with the information you will have the burdens connected with the preparation of your returns lifted from you and be aware of your liabilities in good time for planning for the relevant payments. Advanced notification of your tax liability allowing you to plan your finances to make any tax payment.

VAT investigations are also rising, so it's important that your accountants have experience and more importantly success in dealing with VAT matters.

Our corporate work involves a full range of services. We deal with from the more specialised services of statutory or specialist audits for grants etc and tax work through to assisting with accounts preparation both of annual and management accounts, preparing cashflow forecasts, business plans and assisting with bookkeeping, payroll and VAT.

Limited companies and limited liability partnerships (LLPs) must prepare annual accounts and submit them to Companies House in statutory format while sole traders and partners have to meet self assessment filing requirements. Corporate accounts, for tax purposes, also now need to be prepared using iXBRL format to make them HMRC compliant. The use of our software programmes and experience ensures that these matters are routinely and properly dealt with.
