Our first step is to work with you so we can gain a full understanding of your business. We then tailor our approach to your requirements so that we can provide exactly the service you need.

We can teach you how to manage your own bookkeeping, keeping on top of all the record keeping. Or we can offer a monthly or quarterly bookkeeping service.

We will complete the VAT Return for that quarter and electronically submit it to HM Revenue & Customs.

We will file your EC Sales list.

We will also liaise with HMRC with any queries that they have.


Where you wish us to maintain your payroll records our fee will include:

Adding new employees
P45's for employees that are leaving
Processing the payroll calculation - including overtime, sleep ins and statutory pay
Producing payslips and envelopes for each employee

We started our business in April 1983 with the aim of providing a friendly, flexible personalised service to small and medium sized businesses and companies. We realised that they required help to manage their finances and tax affairs. We offered bookkeeping, payroll, accountancy and taxation services. We gave free quotes and fixed prices and provided free telephone advice. As you may have seen in the news, the Job Retention Scheme will now run for eight months until the end of October, with claims backdated to 1 March 2020. On 29 May, further major changes to the scheme were announced. In effect there will be two schemes - the 'mark I' scheme which will run until 30 June 2020 and the 'mark II' scheme of 'flexible furlough' which will introduce more flexibility to help employees back into work and under which employers will be asked to contribute towards the cost of their furloughed employee's salaries and replace part of the contribution currently made by the Government.

Tax is complicated and a challenge. We cover all aspects of taxation including trusts. We will discuss your taxation affairs whether personally or for your business and formulate a tax strategy.

Our fees do not include the costs of an HM Revenue and Customs or minimum wage enquiry, however we offer insurance to cover such costs. There is no charge for attending a general payroll inspection as long as it is carried out at our premises. With respect to payments made under the Construction Industry Scheme, we will process the payments calculating the correct deduction for tax, completing a statement of earnings. If required, we will verify the status of the subcontractors.
