Ferguson Maidment & Co - Holborn

Founded by Alexander Fletcher Ferguson who went to Bombay (now Mumbai), India, in 1889 as Chief Accountant in the merchant firm of Ritchie, Stewart & Co. Whilst there he became a successful accountant in his own right, in 1893, he left the firm to set up in practice as A.F. Ferguson & Co. The firm prospered in Bombay and other cities in the Indian sub-continent. In London it was represented for some years by Viney, Price & Goodyear.
