Metcalfes - Bury

Metcalfes was established in October 1989 and commenced practice from offices in Bolton Street, Bury. The firm effectively grew from a well respected family accountancy practice in Bury called JA Crawshaw & Co, which had been taken over by KPMG in 1987. Due to the large firms procedures and costs being imposed on clients, most of whom were only small businesses, it was agreed that these would be better served by a small firm and J Metcalfe & Co was set up to achieve this.
