Customer Testimonials
We chose Nimbus Accounting to implement Xero into our business. We found them extremely helpful and always willing to invest time to train our staff - all included in their fixed fee! Their paperless office and innovative use of modern technology was a breath of fresh air, given our previous experience of accountants. We cant recommend them enough if you want an accountant that speaks plain English.
I have been using Nimbus accounting for nearly 2 years. From helping me to setup my limited company, through to VAT registration and everything in between, they have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them. 5 Stars!
Having had previous experience with accountants, I have to say how refreshing it has been to have found Nimbus Accounting. Very professional and always keeping me up to date with progress. Highly recommended

Nimbus Accounting is a Brighton & Hove based Firm of Chartered Accountants. We specialise in helping small to medium sized businesses embrace cloud accounting. We provide our clients with all the tools they need to manage their finances, along with the support and guidance required. The majority of our clients are local businesses in Brighton & Hove, but we have a growing number of clients in London. We have the ability to service clients all over the country, which has only been possible by pushing all communication and records to the cloud.
With the dust now settling on the Chancellor's recent budget, we've picked out some highlights that will help small business owners as they attempt to navigate through the plethora of proposed legislation. The headline grabbers were undoubtedly the falling business rates, corporation tax and capital gains tax measures. The reforms to business rates will have the biggest impact as small businesses will look to save significant funds through the proposals, with an additional 600,000 businesses no longer paying any business rates - ever.
The main rule is "an allowable expense should be wholly, exclusively and necessarily incurred in the performance of your day to day business." Any direct expense incurred running your business should be claimed, there are some expenses that you might think meet the criteria but are unfortunately not allowable, such as entertainment and professional attire. If you are not sure if you want to incorporate, please contact us to discuss the merits of a limited company. The current state of the UK economy has put significant pressure on HMRC to recover additional tax revenue in order to help them meet the growing deficit in the economy.
