I provide informed and practical advice for accountants, solicitors and other professionals working in the field of direct tax. I can also help with serious tax problems for family businesses and individuals. I was an Inspector of Taxes for 18 years, having previously worked in IT and in Further Education after an MA in Philosophy. I left the Inland Revenue in 1989 to join Chartered Accountants Scrutton Goodchild & Sanderson, later part of Scrutton Bland, where I was successively a senior manager and later a partner. I have been an independent consultant since 2001.
