Whilst the rest of Britain celebrated the Queen's Silver Jubilee with wild street parties in 1977, two visionary accountants were quietly setting up their practice in a small market town in Berkshire. During the early years, which included the winter of discontent, Margaret Thatcher's rise to power and the invention of those so cool brick-sized mobile phones, the partners offered the traditional mix of auditing, preparing tax returns and the other accountancy services they'd been trained for.But gradually they began to realise that clients came to them because of the insight they offered.
