BEWARE. I had a consultation and video call with LB about the transfer of marital assets within a divorce in April 2024 and 6 months later I asked if they still held the same opinion expressed in the consutation. If they did, I asked that they would please confirm it in a letter. A week or 2 later I received a 4 page report that contained the confirmation I had asked for, plus a resume of my situation and 3 additional sceanarios of my case that I had not asked for.

To my amazement, I then received an invoice for 4,200! There had been no indication I would be charged for anything more than a letter and when I said this was a crazy charge for a simple letter, LB (eventually) claimed they had spent 14 hours of senior accountant and Partner time in compiling the report that; 1/ I had not asked for, more than simple confirmation of previous advice 2/ LB had not said would require additional work and 3/ they have not provided any verified evidence of the hours they claimed to have worked.

I am of the opinion that the time LB claimed to have spent on a simple matter is fraudulent and I advise any client to study their charges carefully. I offered a compromise of 700 which LB refused. They then took me to court but still provided no evidence or reasoning other than I should pay as demanded. After persuing me for two and a half years, the case was heard today in the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand in London. LB failed to send me the statement they were required to, they did not provide any evidence or arguement the court could consider AND did not even turn up for the hearing.

I leave you to form your own opinion as to the level of honesty and professionalism you might expect from LB but I think their conduct throughout speaks for itself. My experience with LB has been traumatic.
