We operate out of two offices, based in the centres of Glasgow and Edinburgh. The team at Alexander Sloan is about 50 strong providing audit, accounts, tax, payroll, business support, and advisory services to a range of clients. We work in partnership with our clients, understanding their specific needs and creating a tailored service, backed by current technical expertise.

Accounts Preparation

These include Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships as well as accounts for organisations that are regulated under specialist sectors including Registered Social Landlords (Housing Associations), Charities, and Credit Unions that adopt specialist Statements of Recommended Practice (SORP) in preparing financial statements.
Audit and Assurance

Alexander Sloan is a Registered Auditor and we have six Responsible Individuals able to sign Audit Reports on behalf of the firm. External Audit is a key feature of our compliance services and our audits are carried out in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA). We have the opportunity to identify any potential areas of weakness in your business and advise you on appropriate remedial action. You have peace of mind of knowing your accounts are in full compliance statutory requirements.
Bookkeeping
Report
Our first step is to work with you so we can gain a full understanding of your business. We will set up appropriate bookkeeping procedures and controls to suit your business and your circumstances. We can advise you as to the best bookkeeping package for you but we have increasingly assisting a number of clients move towards cloud accounting solutions, such as Xero.
