I had the pleasure of initially being introduced to Mr Paul Mustoe, Tax Director 3 years ago by virtue of my business partner Gurp Bains (see review below) and their long standing relationship. This review is drafted in isolation of that bond and in tribute to, what I would call, the 'consigliere' of our partnership. Paul has a Tom Hagen-esque (if you know then you know) ability to shape and challenge decisions as a "businessman with a tax hat on." Having spent nearly 20 years working in the City, I have become accustomed to groaning at internal tax specialists when seeking tax advice and their ability to merely regurgitate a litany of HMRC manuals vis a vis taxation which is a very dry subject at the best of times.
Paul provides options that are commercial, lucid and instil confidence and as a result, ALL major decisions procure the necesary Mustoe attention for the sake of completeness.
Supplementing Pauls strategic advice has been an invaluable operational resource in the shape of Harry Weller who has shown immense diligence, pride in his work and provides us with the utmost comfort that we are in safe hands.

We were originally introduced to the LB Group by a family member who had recently started using their accountancy services and was very complimentary about them.
As we were just starting our first limited company, choosing the right accountant was essential and were very impressed when Stuart Sheldrick met with us and carefully explained everything we would need to know to ensure the smooth running of the business, the fees were also very reasonable when compared to other accountants of the same size.
As our primary activity is advising clients on claiming R&D Tax Relief, we work with a number of accountancy firms and can honestly say that LB are one of the best both in terms of competitive fees and excellent customer service.
Over the past 18 months we have seen rapid growth which simply wouldn’t have been possible if not for the on-going support offered by Stuart and the LB Group.
